Erez planned a wonderful day in Jerusalem for our family with two young children. Before we even left the States he sent us a scavenger hunt so we could prepare the children. He then weaved in the theme of freedom to the entire day (it was Passover) and used the scavenger hunt to introduce the city to the kids. Upon our return, he sent the kids a YouTube video capturing our day. In addition, he served as a resource for other ideas of things we might do on our visit. He is extremely nice, knowledgeable and thoughtful, and we would highly recommend him!

I want to say many things, refer my son acting career, his last film named Little Boy is with great actors like Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson and Davis Henrie from the tv seies Weaverly Place
Refer the opinion of Sarah, Chabad Hebrew School is an unique school, not distinguishing if the kids are from the north or the south, the difference is the kids that coming from tijuana they need to cross the border everyday, the kids from the north don t need to make this adventure, the effort i don t have doubt is the same

I appreciate your feedback. My reference to the 99% was not intended as a joke. Parents from all walks of life worry about their kids’ futures and whether they will be able to attend college. The top 1% has the privileged luxury of worrying more about whether their kids will be admitted to elite colleges than whether they can pay tuition. I apologize for any offense taken.

While you make some valid and thoughtful points later in the article, Your jokes about the 99 are offensive and hurtful. Parents of middle and lower incomes worry about their kids futures. They also worry about the mortgage. I work as a college counselor and see families struggle with this. Your attempt to be cute fell flat and, to me, made you come across as a shallow person.

You view “from the trenches” seems more of one looking at maps from well behind the front lines….

CHA is in SCRIPPS RANCH (the center and within easy access of all SD County) not in Poway as indicated by the author. My kids go with 71 other students by bus from Carmel Valley every day.

Erez created a perfect trip for my two daughters and myself. One daughter was in Israel doing a gap year program, the other could not remember her earlier trip. We needed to do both the typical and the unusual. From the Blind museum, special underground walking tour, music he had us listen to on Masada, the cooking class and special Moroccan Party only touch on the memories created that will last us a lifetime, although I plan on asking him to help us again this spring. he understood what each of us wanted and blended the trips activities so we were all more then content! Looking forward to working with Erez again! Thank you!

I grew up in Northern Rhodesia and will be taking a ‘trip down nostalgia lane’ in February. While I never met Simon Zukas, my family were friends with his brother Jack who lived in Ndola.

My father died in Ndola, just prior to Independence in 1964. Being just 17 at the time, I was I was most intrigued by Simon Zukas, his support and struggle for a just society, which was very different from the opinions of most of the privileged white class, including most Jews.

I have searched for Simon Zukas contact info. in Lusaka, but have not been successful. It would be a privilege and an honour to meet him and would be most grateful if anyone could provide his contact information.
