Crowdfunding Our Storyby Natalie Jacobs September 11, 2015
The Jewish story is a complicated one. In 2012, photographer and Ukranian-born San Diego transplant Sam Litvin set out to tell that story through pictures of Judaism throughout the world. He spent nine months traveling through 30 countries to document the Jewish diaspora. Now, he’s collecting those photos and stories into a coffee table book. He’s trying to uncover a coherent answer to the age-old question “what does it mean to be Jewish.”
To support the publishing of “Our Story, Our Sipur,” Litvin has launched an Indiegogo campaign in the hopes of receiving enough pre-orders to fund printing costs. He’s hosting a launch party tonight, Sept. 11 at 3rd Space in University Heights (4610 Park Blvd.) at 6:30 p.m.
