Secular Jewish Families Meet & Greet
Jul 29 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

The best learning comes from fun experiences. And the best experiences are shared in a welcoming setting. That is why Madrikha Beverly and Kahal Am invite parents and children to a Shabbat celebration on Saturday, July 29, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at La Costa Canyon Park, 3018 Pueblo St. and Rana Court, Carlsbad, 92009.

Children will have a chance to learn about the most important Jewish experience, the Sabbath, in a comfortable environment There will be a brief, interactive presentation and humanistic blessings for the (electric) candles, challah, and juice, which is provided by Kahal Am. Then kids can play on the equipment and parents can sit at shaded tables and talk.

Kahal Am offers families a place to share Judaism in a modern, human-centered style. If yours is an intercultural, secular, or non-traditional family, there are similar families out there looking for a friendly Jewish community. This event is the chance to meet and start such a community. There is no charge and RSVPs by July 28 are appreciated to madrikhabeverly@kahalam.org or 858-549-3088.
