These eclectic and lively discussions about the week’s Torah portion consider the text through traditional and modern commentaries, as well as through the lenses of history, ethics, sociology and psychology. Insightful and frequently provocative, Torah study at Beth Israel will prompt you to engage with the text in new ways. Young and old, scholars and beginners are all welcome. “Don’t End it on a Minor”
Feb 25 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Marina Kantor’s one act, one woman show is a classical piano theatrical performance that takes you on a journey through the history of the Israeli National Anthem Hatikva, a melody of just 25 notes. Marina combines her formal Russian musical training with an international vision of history and art that makes this one woman show a one of a kind preformance.

Proceeds from the United States premier of “Don’t End It On A Minor” will be donated to Cindy’s College Crew Fund, Congregation Beth Israel, to honor the memory of Cindy Polger, who loved creating and maintaining Jewish connection.
