This month we explore the universe and alien life, featuring Saucer State and X-Files comics. Scientific speakers will be Dr. Shelly Wright, Assistant Professor of Physics, and Dr. Nichola Galitzki, Postdoctoral Scholar, both from CASS (Center for Astrophysics and Space Sciences) at UCSD. Join the brewmasters at Border X Brewing for a three-part series on engineering craft beer. In this first part we will learn the stages of combining water, hops, yeast, barley and grains. This workshop will set the stage for a special 52 Weeks of Science seasonal brew that we will make together.
This free all ages event draws over 100,000 people from across San Diego for three days of fun, music, delectable food, and of course – plenty of German beer! Festival highlights include instrument design, story recording, soil play, cooking
workshops, local lulav making, live music, farm talks and tours, and more. Fresh, hand-
picked produce will be available at the Farm Stand, and local vendors will provide tasty
food and snacks.An ambrosia garden will offer local mead, beer, and kombucha (open
to ages 21 and up).
