This training is designed for individuals to learn about their top strengths using the “Strengths Finder Assessment”. The first part of the session will be exploration of how those strengths influence your work. The remainder of the session will be focused on how to work better with your team members by understanding what THEIR strengths are.

Since receiving his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, Jason Furman has been one of America’s most influential economic advisers. He served as a member of Obama’s Presidential Transition Team in 2008, Principal Deputy Director of the National Economic Council from 2009 to 2013, and was Chair of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers from 2013-2017. He has also been a Senior Fellow at both the Brookings Institution and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. He has held visiting positions at various universities, including New York University’s Graduate School of Public Policy. He will be discussing the dramatic decline in male labor-force participation rates and the implications for U.S. policy.Part of the 2017 UCSD Economics Roundtable Lecture Series.
