Art San Diego, with presenting sponsor UBS Financial Services, is a four-day contemporary art show featuring an international slate of artists and galleries. The 2016 theme is [THRESHOLD]—standing at the precipice of what’s yet to come; perched on the brink of something extraordinary, expansive, and ever evolving. This theme will inform several of the special programs, including the LaunchPad Program, Art Labs, and the Spotlight Artist Program. As part of Redwood Media Group, Art San Diego is the city’s only contemporary fine art show and has become one of the leading cultural events in Southern California.

The Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation (MTRP) is pleased to present Natural Views, an exhibition featuring artwork from students in the Grossmont Union High School District.
This exhibit will be on display in the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center Art Gallery December 3, 2016 – January 6, 2017. The public is cordially invited to a reception in honor of the artists on Saturday, December 10, 2016, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Portraiture is one of art’s oldest genres, dating back to the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. However, as old as it may be, this is the first time the Gotthelf Art Gallery has curated a show devoted solely to this art form. Our featured artist is Vera Sickinger, along with the following artists who were invited to exhibit in this show: Ken Goldman, Stephanie Goldman, Vivien Ressler, Madeline Sherry and Ali Silverstein.

This journey through our region’s history explores the culture of the West and honors Cowboy, Native American, and Mexican traditions.
Combining technical precision, power, and passion, Complexions Contemporary Ballet delivers an exciting performance that transcends tradition in a groundbreaking mix of styles ranging from ballet to hip hop. The group, who has been featured on So You Think You Can Dance, will perform Innervisions, an upbeat, contemporary dance tribute to the music of Stevie Wonder, along with other selections from their esteemed repertoire.
