Weaving Movements: Linking Innovation with Inclusion

Join The San Diego Foundation as civil rights icon Dolores Huerta shares her lifelong commitment to civic engagement by igniting generations of community organizers and weaving agriculture worker, civil and women’s rights movements into social change.

See Huerta’s life on film and converse with Huerta herself, as well as Dr. Manuel Pastor, Director of the USC Program for Environmental and Regional Equity and other local leaders focused on innovative and impactful employment access and opportunity. Together, they’ll share ideas about how to provide economic stability for all San Diegans, and how access to education, career networks, and diverse hiring practices will stimulate a thriving innovation economy.

Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival has been the biggest and best holiday art and craft show in the San Diego area for more than four decades. Families from all over the region come to enjoy American handmade crafts, great food, and fun entertainment. More than 300 artists and craftspeople, including many new to the show, offer unique handmade crafts and gifts. Find Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas décor, handmade wearable art, photography, ceramics, jewelry, garden decorations, hand-turned wood, children’s toys, unique holiday gifts, and much more. All products in the show are made in America and chosen by a jury.
Monster Bash

The 16th Annual Dos Equis Monster Bash presented by Sailor Jerry, San Diego’s most EPIC Halloween festival, will transform the Gaslamp Quarter and East Village into a paradise for haunted souls and fabulous freaks on Saturday, October 29th from 6:00 PM to Midnight. Spanning eight city blocks, this massive takeover boasts FIVE hauntingly crafted themed stages that have become the hallmark of this unforgettable event, hosting over 20 DJ’s and entertainment acts over the course of the night. Featuring DJ sets and live performances by trap, edm, hip hop, house, and progressive artists, San Diego Monster Bash has something for everyone! Flocking from across the globe and every US State, over 15,000 costumed revelers join together to dance unabashed into the night at this Halloween mecca of terror and sinful delight.

5K ADHD Hero Run/Walk
Oct 30 @ 7:30 am – 1:30 pm

All proceeds from Hope So Bright’s first annual 5K ADHD run/walk will go to programs and services that support children with ADHD. It is CEO/founder Linda Sanders’ goal to bring the ADHD community together as one voice to urge the private sector and the government to listen to her concerns and take action in addressing the urgency for change and alternative treatments to prescription medication for those who suffer with ADHD.

Mitzvah Day at Temple Adat Shalom

Temple Adat Shalom will participate in various community service projects that help to repair the world. The day will end with a delicious pizza lunch, call to action for continued engagement in service and a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate TAS going solar!
