Heroes Brew Craft Beer Festival

Furing Comic-Con weekend, the comic-themed Heroes Brew Craft Beer Festival returns for its fourth year on July 23, featuring crowds dressed to the nines in their favorite super hero costumes and enjoying local craft beer at the event’s new venue – Waterfront Park in downtown San Diego. This unique beer festival features more than 40 craft breweries, along with food trucks, a costume contest, raffles and live music.

Tiki Oasis

Tiki Oasis was conceived in 2001 as a fundraiser to support the rehabilitation of the mid-century Palm Springs Caliente Tropics Motel which attracted a small gathering of tikiphiles. The event moved to San Diego in 2006 and has since grown to include two locations, three hotels, over 30 symposiums, 100 vendors, numerous sponsors, a slew of talent including live bands, disk jockeys, burlesque and go-go dancers, visual artist and carvers, guitar and ukulele instructors, vintage cars, mixology experts and well over 3,000 attendees. This year’s Tiki Oasis has the theme “Party on Monster Island” and guests are encouraged to embrace the flare of their favorite monster.

Tour de Fat at Golden Hill Park

New Belgium Brewing’s Tour de Fat, a traveling celebration of all things bike, is returning to San Diego Saturday, September 24. Tour de Fat will take place in Golden Hill Park offering a day of eclectic entertainment, a costumed bike ride, a gameshow, car-for-bike swap, fashion showdown, great music, and of course plenty of New Belgium beer. The event is free, yet all donations and proceeds from beer and merchandise sales will go to San Diego-area non-profits.

Jewish Film Festival Underwriter Kickoff Party and Screening

Enjoy a fabulous evening of beer, wine, catered hors d’oeuvres, and priority seating at the screening of Sam Spiegel: Conquering Hollywood. Following the film, Q&A with special guest Robert De Young, director.
