Shabbat Morning Torah Study

Come occasionally or come every week. These eclectic and lively discussions about the week’s Torah portion consider the text through traditional and modern commentaries, as well as through the lenses of history, ethics, sociology and psychology. Insightful and frequently provocative, Torah study at Beth Israel will prompt you to engage with the text in new ways. Young and old, scholars and beginners are all welcome. Bagels and coffee provided.

Exhibition at Spanish Village Pays Tribute to Photographer Arthur Lavine

A photographic exhibition, “Street Photography around the World” featuring images by nationally known photographer, Arthur Lavine, and his cousin, Dana Levine, will take place at Gallery 21, Spanish Village Art Center, in Balboa Park, 1770 Village Place, San Diego, daily from March 22nd through April 3rd, 2017. A reception will be held on Sunday, March 26th from 1 – 3 pm.
