Moving Traditions emboldens teens by fostering self-discovery, challenging sexism, and inspiring a commitment to Jewish life and learning. By focusing on the whole teen, Moving Traditions meets teens where they are, connecting Jewish wisdom to the challenges and joys of their daily lives, such as self-esteem, body image, friendship, romance, and academic stress, while encouraging teens to question fundamental ideas of identity and society.
The San Diego Jewish Teen Initiative convenes collaborative meetings every other month for Jewish Teen Educators. The purpose of this group is for professionals to continue to grow in their practice and to create a culture of community and collective impact. As a result of being part of this group, educators will be able to better serve their teens, programs, and organizations. As Community Partners, youth professionals commit to attending at least three TEC workshops during the school year.
