Beth Israel Men’s Club: Art of the Holocaust – Capturing Beauty, Brutality, Hope
Feb 20 @ 6:30 pm

A unique lecture on a topic that is not commonly discussed in the context of the Holocaust – the art of the holocaust.
Art is a powerful representation of the horrors, the hope, the anger and the hopelessness experienced by Jews during and after the holocaust. Through personal stories of victims, survivors and children artists, he will cover real examples of art created by them. We will observe and discuss how art has created a visual, long-living record of the holocaust experienced. How it has been used as evidence for what really happened, how it helped children cope, imagining a better world and how it became a form of resistance by the artists.
The memorable lecture will bring a powerful and unique perspective.
