Chula Vista Heritage Museum Holocaust Exhibit Opening
Jan 12 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

In January 2020, the first-ever Holocaust exhibit will open at the Chula Vista Heritage Museum’s space located in the Civic Center Branch Library at 365 F Street. RUTH: Remember Us The Holocaust will feature several Holocaust survivors that discovered the South Bay of San Diego as their place of work, worship and home. It will also bring to light this dark time in history, by sharing the sacredness of humanity.

The exhibit was a dream of Ruth Sax, a Holocaust survivor, South Bay resident, advocate and inspirational speaker. Ruth was in the library planning what the exhibit would look like before she passed on December 29, 2018.

Brunch with Mayor Mary Casillas Salas and several Holocaust Survivors will be the opening event on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Civic Center Branch Library. Brunch will be kosher catered by Chabad of Chula Vista and proceeds will benefit the South Bay Historical Society.
