To celebrate Shmaltz Brewing Company’s 20th anniversary this year, the brewery is releasing four new limited-edition beer offerings, including Genesis 20:20® (Barrel-Aged Tart Barleywine, 16.7% ABV), Chanukah, Hanukkah…Pass the Beer® (Golden Strong Ale with Cocoa Nibs, 8% ABV), Jewbelation 20® (Dark American Strong Ale, 16.8%) and Shtick in a Box® (Holiday Variety 12-Pack).
Shmaltz, the only Jewish celebration beer company, will host a bevy of Chanukah launch parties across the country this season. They will be at The Tower Bar (4757 University Avenue) on December 25 for an 8 Crazy Flights party to kick off Chanukah, featuring the brewery’s boldest beers.
The company started in San Francisco, but is now based in New York. Started as a Chanukah experiment in 1996, when several friends hand-squeezed pomegranates to create the first He’brew Beer’s Genesis Ale®, they now operate a 40,000 square-foot brewery and distribute to 40 states.
